Although everyone heard about Reichman's book, the absolutely hands down
best reading material about cross country and landing out are Kai Gertsen's
guides. This is a must read for every pilot interested in cross country
from novice to pundit. It is easy to read and full of very useful and helpful tips. I am surprised it is not more
widely known and I only heard about it recently. It is not overly technical
and focused on racing and mcCready as Reichman's book. This is the "cross
country for dummy's" version.
