Namaste everyone,

Last night, GAPI (Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage) celebrated it's annual program. During this program, GAPI awarded this year's Humanitarian award to Ralph Parker and me. Dr. Ravi Sarmaji had nominaed Ralph's name while my name was nominated by Dr. Indranji.

During award distribution, I am glad that our (Sewa's) effort were recognized and appreciated by Dr. Rao (chairman of GAPI). Even though I got this award but I know this award is for all the Sewa and HSS volunteers. And definitely, we can't ignore the help that we get from our spouses. :)

Dr. Seshu Sarma (along with her friends) is regularly conducting a health camp for Bhutanese on the 1st Saturday of every month. They have a list of few Bhutanese people who badly need eye exams and eye glasses. I have decided to use this award money ($1,000) for the eye exams and eye glasses.
