[The Network] Adult Education Instructor Needed

Dear Friends:

ACCESS Housing is seeking a part-time certified teacher to provide
adult education instructor. Please share this announcement with your

Start Date July 2, 2012
Employment Status Part-time
Hours per Week 9 hours per week (Monday and Wednesday:
6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00am to
1:00pm)Compensation $50.00 per session

Job Summary: Provides GED and basic reading, writing and math
instruction for adult students under the direction of the agency's
Director of Programs.

Minimum Requirements:
•Teaching certification.
•Minimum of two years of successful experience providing adult
education instruction.
•Must possess knowledge of effective methods and techniques of adult
education.
•Experience working with people from diverse cultural and socio-
economic backgrounds, including homeless and ex-offender populations.
•Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Windows applications.
•Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish a plus.

Duties:
•Assess adult student education level and recommend appropriate
placement.
•Provide class room instruction and individualized support.
•Maintain communication with agency case managers on individual
student progress.
•Prepare reports as needed.
