[CPN] Notice of Public Review and Comment Period from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Attention registered Neighborhood Organizations:

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has invited the public to review and comment on the just-released Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed FAA Area Navigation (RNAV) procedures at Denver International Airport (DEN), Centennial Airport (APA) and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (BJC).

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Draft EA was prepared to address the potential environmental impacts that could result from the implementation of new Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) flight routes and procedures in the Denver Complex Airspace.  The draft EA documents are available on Denver International Airport’s website via this link: http://business.flydenver.com/community/noise/faaea.asp

Public meetings for the Draft EA will be held at locations near each of the three airports on June 26th, 27th and 28th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

The meetings will be held in an Open House format with representatives from the FAA giving a presentation and available to answer questions. The same content will be presented at each meeting; however, aspects of each meeting may appeal more to the nearby study airport. The dates and locations of the public meetings are as follows:

  • June 26, 2012: Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, Mt. Evans Conference Room (11755 Airport Way Broomfield, CO)
  • June 27, 2012: Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows (10345 Park Meadows Drive. Littleton, CO)
  • June 28, 2012: Crowne Plaza Denver International Airport (15500 E. 40th Avenue, Denver, CO)

The FAA encourages interested parties to review the Draft EA and provide comments during the public comment period. Written comments will be accepted by the FAA until July 10, 2012. The public is invited to comment at the meetings to a certified court reporter, by comment form, or by mail or email to the following address:
