Sponsor of Legislation: Councilwoman Judy Montero, Council District 9
Planning Board Meeting Information:
The Denver Planning Board will make a recommendation on a proposed text amendment to the Denver Zoning Code, regarding termination of nonconforming (on-premises) signs, on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
| PLANNING BOARD MEETING INFORMATION | |
| DATE | Wednesday, May 16, 2012 |
| TIME | 3:00 pm |
| PLACE | Wellington E. Webb Municipal Building at 201 W. Colfax Avenue |
| ROOM | 4th floor conference room #4.F.6 |
Generally, the Text Amendment will give a sign owner one opportunity to correct an outstanding violation of the city’s sign regulations (such as having too many signs on the property or animating the sign) before terminating the existing, nonconforming sign. This amendment applies only to existing, nonconforming on-premises signs (signs relating to the actual use of the subject property) and does NOT affect the city’s current regulation of billboards.
A summary of the Text Amendment, as well as the proposed redlined changes to Article 12 of the Denver Zoning Code, is available at:
CPD’s staff report will be available in electronic format one week before the scheduled Planning Board meeting date on the same, above-referenced web page.
