Dear Community Coordinating District & Triangle Park Stakeholders,
As a reminder, we have two remaining Triangle Parks Public Worksession Presentations set for Monday, April 30th - 5:30PM and May 21 – 5:30PM at Redline (2350 Arapahoe St.) A tremendous amount of work has been accomplished since we last met in March and we're looking forward to getting everyone up to speed and building upon this momentum.
Also for your calendars, on June 18th at 1:30 the Community Coordinating District, No. 1 will be holding its Public Meeting to vote on an action based on the short and long term presentation ideas. This meeting will be posted and published and open to the Public. We continue to encourage participation as we advance our work for solutions in and around Triangle Parks, 24th Street and Sonny Lawson Park as a matter of public record. The goal is to select a temporary concept plan for Triangle Parks based off input gathered from stakeholders leading up to this June meeting.
+ + +
We'd like to extend a HUGE THANKS to everyone who has contributed their time and resources to the CCD and our many ongoing efforts! We'd like to especially thank P.J D'Amico with Redline and John Hayden from Curtis Park for their leadership in the Long Term Vision Working Group. Based off community input received at our February meeting, this committee was created to support the realization of a larger, integrated solution for the Northeast Downtown Neighborhoods. The complex issues we face at Eddie Maestas Park relate to the social and physical infrastructure of not just this space, but of the public realm across multiple neighborhoods. The purpose of this working group is to reveal the stakeholder's longer term planning interests and to consider the impacts of temporary programming changes at Triangle Parks while working within the planning parameters set by the City. This group meets every Monday at 11:00AM at Redline.
These ideas and meeting minutes will continue to be presented and explored on our Facebook Page and site, www.communitycoordinatingdistrict.com. In the coming days and weeks we'll be adding a great deal to this site and want to encourage everyone to visit the page and CHIME IN! We're going to be hosting some pretty amazing conversations and giving away prizes to those who contribute the most. Stay tuned for updates on these opportunities and more!

One barrier to park use is park safety – perceived or actual. How can parks organizations and community stewards develop an integrated strategy with the community to make their parks safer using design tools, partnerships with law enforcement agencies and programming? This webinar will provide practical examples for increasing safety and creative ways to use existing neighborhood assets to create safer parks.

Thanks for your continued support and attention. We hope to see you on 30th!!!
