Subject: RSVP to DCI's April's Immigrant Service Provider Meeting

Dear Service Providers,
Please join us for our working group for service providers who serve immigrants of all statuses, backgrounds, and languages.   This group shares ideas to develop community resources, identifies where service gaps are, finds ways of collaboration between organizations, has trainers and speakers, and as a group, works to provide more streamlined services to all immigrants.
This month's speaker is Aldo Reza from Community Athletic Sports Academy (CASA).  CASA is dedicated to promoting family integration through sports and education.  They have an after school program for boys and girls ages 4 to 14, an in-house league and they participate in Colorado Youth Soccer (CYS) state sanctioned competitions.  The idea is to create a positive environment where youth can develop and promote good values for the whole family.  The organization is primarily Latino based and it's looking to expand its audience to include other immigrant communities. They may be putting on a mini World Cup this summer for Denver's youth so that different communities can get to know one another through soccer.

We will also be talking about gathering resources for the service provider community, the immigrant community, as well as the receiving community.

Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).
