Sewa Denver Sponsorship Email - First Cut

Here is a email message I sent out to Accenture requesting sponsorship. With some imporvement, this can be used for

Hi ....

As we discussed this morning, I am sending you the flyer of the charity Cricket Tournament organized by Sewa International.

Sewa (also pronounced Seva) is a Sanskrit word that roughly translates to 'Selfless Service'. For more information on Sewa

please visit http://www.sewausa.org.

 

Sewa International is a 501c3 Non-profit organization and all proceeds from the tournament will benefit war victims in Sri Lanka.

Sewa International is adopting 50 villages in Sri Lanka and the money collected in this tournament is spent on rebuilding schools,

orphanages, hospitals and homes. A part of the money is also spent on providing job skills training to men and women and to help

people send their children to school.

 

This tournament is going to be held on June 17 @ Littleton Cornerstone park and June 24 @ Longmont Garden Acres Park.

This is a knock off tournament and we are expecting about 20 teams to participate. Sewa organized similar Cricket Tournaments in

2011 in New Jersey and Washington DC. Both events were very successful.

 

Along with the tournament, Sewa International is also planning a fair at the venue. While watching cricket, people can taste great

Ethnic food and enjoy music and other entertainment and kids activities.

 

I hope Accenture can sponsor the whole tournament as well as a couple of Accenture employees teams to play in the tournament.

Sewa International can provide branded T-Shirts  (Accenture & Sewa International) to the employee teams. I can send you the

Sponsorship cost and other details early next week.

 

The war victims in Sri Lanka deserve help. Sewa International volunteers are already working on many relief and development

Projects in Sri Lanka. With help from companies such as Accenture, Sewa International is certain that it can make a difference

In the lives of people ravaged by internal strife and war.
